Make Art Look Good Online

My second tutorial, a companion to "How to Photograph Art." The drawing is of Admiral Horatio Nelson, drawn last night using a sketch of a painting as reference.

There are so many great pieces of art on DA that aren't appealing to look at, or don't stand out, simply because they haven't been photographed or processed well. The Art > Computer transition used to be a difficult one for me until I learned some tricks for taking better photos and for editing those photos on the computer afterward to bring out the natural colors and tones. It's not that difficult to make the online version look (more) like the original.

This tutorial goes through the process of turning a raw photo of a drawing into a submittable image.
